Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on the 21st of September the 21st of September 1983 in Worthington Ohio, USA is an American actor. Maggie Grace is most well-known for playing Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills respectively on ABC's Lost television series. Following the divorce of her parents, she left Worthington Ohio in order to settle in Los Angeles. She landed her debut role as Rachel's Room's lead character in 2001 despite struggling in the financial department. She went on to earn an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 for her performance as the 15 year old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television movie Murder set in Greenwich. Grace Rutherford was the character Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons in 2004 and was awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award (with the rest of the cast) along with her. Grace left the show to focus on her film career. The actress had been on the show with Tom Welling opposite in The Fog back in 2005. She starred as a character in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in 2007 as well as Taken (2008) opposite Liam Neeson. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) were her reprises of these role. Grace played Shannon's part on Lost for two episodes. This included the finale of the series. She's a Gyllenhaal, the child of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), she is a bit younger that Jake Gyllenhaal. Her career began as a teenager with small roles in several films that her father directed. In addition, she was a part of her brother in the 2001 cult film Donnie Darko. She appeared next in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received critical acclaim for her performance as the main character in Secretary (2002), an erotic romance drama drama as well as Sherrybaby (2006). The actress was also nominated by The Golden Globe Award. She gained wider recognition when she portrayed Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) as well as a number of successful commercials she appeared in during 2006.
