Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a family of musicians. When she was a kid, she listened to many classical music as well as the traditional boleros. They also played the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana is a lover of tangos and operas. In addition, she is a fan of the dramatic stage. Ana began learning to sing as well as play musical instruments in the early years by her mother. She received more formal training in singing when she reached the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She furthered her training in music with the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In her early years as a student and professional, she sang with various chamber groups as well as opera choruses in Guadalajara and Mexico City. In 2000 she moved back to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she relocated to her home in southern California. She currently performs the traditional Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. The passion and love she has for the arts, music, as well as performing, keeps her active in numerous local organizations as a performer, teacher, and instructor. Ana is also a previous participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged being able communicate with other people her love of the traditional Latin American music. She hopes to inspire younger generations to help keep the tradition in the present.
